South West England Sales - Brand : 2016

Of the nine regional areas of the UK, this is the largest in area. It has a Honda plant within its boundaries, some very beautiful scenery and probably the warmest weather in the UK. Just over a quarter of a million cars were sold here.

Those makes that were stronger here are: BMW is a whole percentage point above the national average and even outsells VW. Kia took 5.4% (3.3% UK), Hyundai 5.3% (3.4%) and Honda 4.0% (2.2%)

Some that did worse: Mercedes at 5.4% (6.3%), Audi 5.3% (6.6%), Toyota 2.7% (3.6%) and Fiat 1.4% (2.4%).

Summary: The two Korean brands did well as did home town hero Honda. They are stronger here than in any other region in the UK, along with Mitsubishi.
