Argentina Car/LCV Sales : 2017


For the first six months sales were up +32% and ended up +26%, a very strong showing. VW has lead every years since 2004 and consolidated its position in 2017. Chevrolet comes next but has lost ground on the leader as has Renault the 3rd most popular make.

Fiat went past Toyota but while Honda had an impressive 80% increase and Nissan 82%, they are still well off those just above them in ranking. At least they are closing the gap. This isn't particularly strong for Chinese brands like some in Latin America but there are some inroads being made with new brands arriving.

Every car brand bar two increased in sales, but some lost market share. The chart below shows a % symbol that represents market share. The +/- column is increase or decrease based on the market share of 2017 against the 2016 year.
